Guest Registration Certificate (GRC)
The Board of Directors has approved the implementation of a Guest Registration Certificate, designed to streamline and improve the efficiency of vehicle access to the resort property. This will help ensure accurate records of everyone on the property and the unit to which they are registered.
As part of this program, license plate recognition readers will be installed to capture the license plate information of all vehicles entering the property. All paying guests, including those booking through owner managed VRBO and Airbnb’s, will be required to pay for a Guest Registration Certificate at a cost of $110.00 and this will provide two parking passes per unit. Additional parking passes will be available at $30 per pass, subject to availability.
A registration portal will be made available to all owners and rental companies, allowing them to register owners, guests, and vendors prior to their arrival on property. The major change in this program is to obtain the license plate prior to arrival to identify everyone on property. In addition, this will be a new source of income to the COA.
This program is scheduled to take effect January 1, 2027, however we will finalize the roll out of this in the coming weeks prior to January 1st.
Please note that all owners will need to provide their family members and friends information and license plate #’s by registering them in the portal (at no cost for non-paying friends and family) to allow them to enter through the front security gate with ease.
Additional information and details regarding the registration process will be provided on the roll out at a later date, as we continue developing and finalizing this new system.
Toys For Tots
We have partnered with Toys For Tots and have begun accepting donations for this program. Drop off boxes are located in the B building lobby and the front gate. All donations will be accepted until December 4th, 2026.
Elevator Modernization Schedule
Cavinder Elevators have been working on the two east end elevators in the B Building for complete modernization to bring them up to current standards and improve performance which was funded by the 2026 assessment. Only one elevator car will be down at a time with an estimate of 14 weeks per elevator car. After the first of the year, the D Lazy River elevator will undergo a complete modernization and should be up and running by spring break.
The board also committed to modernizing the other two elevators in B tower during the fall and winter of 2027.
D Tower Fitness Equipment
The board has approved new fitness equipment for the D Tower and we have ordered new weight training equipment and strength training machines. We estimate arrival for this in the coming weeks.
Cabana Rentals
As we migrate into the off season the Cabanas, Tiki Bar and Coffee Shop will be closed for the season starting November 1st, 2026. These areas will reopen in Spring of 2027. If you have not had the opportunity to book a cabana rental, you’re able to book a cabana on https://booking.cariberesort.com/cabanas and these are available to rent starting March of 2027. Book yours today!
Upcoming Events and Projects
- As many owners can see, the surface coating on the C & D pool spillovers did not properly adhere to the areas. These areas will be redone over the winter as they’re under warranty.
As a reminder our next Annual Homeowners Association meeting will be held March 20th, 2027.
