Spring Break Wristband Policy

This Spring Break season we will be implementing a colored wristband system for guests and owners on property. 

Any owner or guest that will be staying on property between Friday, March 22nd through Sunday, April 21st will be required to wear a wristband during their stay. Children aged 5 and under will not be required to wear a wristband. Please provide proof of ownership to the front desk in the B tower to receive the needed wristbands for the duration of your stay. 

Any guests invited to a rental/owner’s property can receive a daily wristband from the gatehouse when called in by an adult occupant from a unit phone. Guests coming on property to a rental unit will be limited to 4 guests per unit per day. Any invited guest without a wristband will be escorted off property.

Owner’s Gate Automated System

We’re happy to announce an upgrade to the Owners gate entry lane. This touch free system will operate by chip decals similar to the Orange Beach Toll Bridge system. Simply drive up and the gate will open by reading the decal. Absolutely no piggybacking will be allowed.

We have received the decals and the hardware has been installed. Decals are available to be picked up in our sales office located in the B Building. Each unit will receive two chipped decals and any additional decals needed will be available for purchase in the sales office Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at $25 per additional decal. These can be purchased by the deeded owner via cash or check, made out to the Caribe Owners Association.  

Projects in Progress

  • The D Building game room located near the indoor pool area is currently being converted into a coffee shop as an extension of the cabana area. We anticipate the opening of this in the upcoming months.
  • B Building owners and guests may experience water pressure issues over the next few days. We hope to have temporary repairs made by the end of this week until a new triplex domestic booster system can be designed, produced and installed
  • The C indoor pool wheelchair lift is currently being installed
  • Larry Wireman will begin improvements to the east overflow parking lot next to the D tower. This area will be expanded and these improvements will be taking place over the next several weeks.
  • Crews are still in the process of installing the new cabanas and tiki bar area. The tiki bar will not begin service until Spring of 2024.
  • The renovation of the C & D lower outdoor pool will still need coping repairs and paint on the knee walls around the pool.
  • Contractors have completed the resealing of the skylights in the B & C tower atriums and have begun in D tower.
  • Floor repairs to the C and D lazy river elevator landings and the lower corridor C/D indoor pools have begun and we anticipate having these completed in the upcoming weeks.

Annual Homeowner Meeting

Official notification for the annual homeowner’s meeting was sent out by mail to all owners on February 28th, 2024. The mail-out includes an official meeting notice, 2024 proposed budget, full agenda, and a proxy form.

On Friday, March 15th, 2024, from 5pm-7pm a welcome reception will be held at the newly renovated lazy river deck (weather permitting). This will be the grand opening of the new Tiki Bar and the Cabanas! 

The 23rd Annual Caribe Resort Homeowners Association Meeting will take place on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 1:00pm in the D100 Meeting Space. Lunch will be served starting at 12pm. We anticipate the meeting will have full capacity, however, we will also be live streaming the meeting on the owner website. 

The current Board members are Larry Wireman, Rick Legendre, Lester Boihem, John Evans, and Joe Mendola.

The Board strongly urges you to send your proxies in so that we can establish a 51% voting quorum. Each year, we struggle and expense immense effort and time to collect these in advance. If you send your proxy in but attend the meeting, your proxy will be given back to you upon entering the meeting.
